January Freebie/Progressive Challenge

Well, after a full week of no phone or internet, I'm finally back!  Thank goodness for being able to schedule posts so I had my last DT post ready!  (And thank goodness I didn't wait until the last minute again for that one!)

We've had a busy week at the ol' homestead here.  We had fence builders (who hit our phone line), tree trimmers/cutters and the phone company all to deal with this week.  Plus it was the week for the hubster's treatment and doctor visit, I'm taking my MIL to physical therapy twice a week (she had a knee replacement) and I had to work 3 evenings this week to get team pictures for our basketball/cheerleading program!  And I still managed to complete a card......just one card.  LOL!

Anyway, this card is for the Freebie/Progressive challenge over at The Outlawz.

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers, the border punch is from Martha Stewart, the doilie and the punch are sprayed with Glimmer Mist.   The gems are from The Paper Studio and the corner punch is also Martha Stewart.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that one of our horses busted through one of our BRAND, SPANKING NEW fences!!!!!   Ughhhh!!!!  Well, it's been a good weekend so far, though!

Thanks for stopping by!

A Little Flowerpot Hello

Greeting Bloggies!  It's time for another challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we are sponsored by

and our theme is ANYTHING GOES! That's always a popular one!

I've used the cute "Flowerpot Girl" image from our sponsor for my card today:

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers, the gems are from Recollections, the ribbon is from American Crafts and the embossing is a Cuttlebug folder.  I  used a Studio G chalk ink pad to lightly rub over the embossing and add some color.

I hope you'll join us this week!

Family Pictures Layout

I found this post from 2 years ago that I had left sitting in Draft mode all this time! I thought it was time to get it shared!

Hello again!  Today I want to share a project I was actually hired to do!  There is a neat little store here in town owned by a friend of mine and she wants to showcase local work.  She is now selling my cards and asked me to make a couple of layouts for her. I'm still amazed that anyone would pay me to do this!  Ya gotta' love it!

I chose this K & Co. paper because it reminds me of old wallpaper.

This cut is from Home Accents and the lace is some gifted to me by a  Design Team friend over at My Sheri Crafts.

The flowers are a quilling die cut from Cuttlebug.  Very fun and easy to use and makes such a great flower!  I added a tiny pearl to the center of this one.

Pretty simple layout, but I feel like it came out well and Sherry loved it!

I've entered this project here:

A Little Penguin "Hello"

Good Morning!  We have a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown today!  We are sponsored this week by
and our theme is "Add A Snowflake".

I got this cute image called "Penguin Flight" from our sponsor for my card, which will be sent to one of my Zippy Zebra buddies:

Inside it says "I hope you have a Perfect Day!"

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and the embossed background is a Cuttlebug folder.  The little tag is from Cricut's Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, with a metal snowflake brad.  The sentiment I've created using the writing feature with the Cricut Explore.  I love that!!

I hope you'll hop over and join us this week!  See you there!
